I’ve played through a significant portion of TPP multiple times since it came out but it’s never held my interest long enough to finish. It’s an issue I have with a lot of open world games, especially when a game is the first in an established series/franchise to go open world. TPP in particular is missing a lot of the charm and Kojima-ness that made me such a big fan of the series in the first place while also having a lot of the same downsides a lot of open world games have. It’s still a really fucking good stealth-action game, and maybe in a couple years I’ll get the itch to play and finish it, but I’m comfortable considering this one dropped from my backlog.

Ever play a game and have a bad enough experience that even when it’s been long enough to forget exactly why you hate it, the feeling remains as strong as ever? This is that for me. I couldn’t begin to tell you why but I’m still annoyed I spent money on this game. I remember disliking the controls. Dunno.
